When you see a reflection you take the shot, right? Well I caught this one purely by luck. I was actually shooting the person and the Indian Market magazine. Just lucky I guess. It's a three day weekend! Big wine festival in Albuquerque and I am taking the train down. Should make for some nice shots. Have a super weekend everyone!

SF Indain Market 12

This is the Mateo Romero one of my favorite local artist. He is holding one of his paintings while speaking with a couple that appeared to be interested in this painting. I love how bold his paintings are along with his use of color in his work. Here is a link if you would like to read more about him and to see more of his work. One day after I win the lottery his paintings will be high on my shopping list.

If there is an event with a large crowd you can bet that you will find someone wearing an outfit that will make them stand out in the crowd. She happened to walk right by me. What do you think, Oriental or what?

There were times when I just could not get through the crowds to get shots of the artists work so I opted instead to take shots of the shoppers. I remembering it being a very warm day and it appears some shoppers were better prepared than I was with all of the hats in this shot. Today is the 5 years anniversary of Santa Fe Daily photo. It's amazing how quickly time flies by. On to the 6th! Have a great day everyone.

Nothing to see here.

Yesterday I went walking around during my lunch hour. The excitement over Indian Market was building. Tourist were all over talking about the market, where to eat, what to see. All except these two. They just sat there looking around as if there were nothing to see. That was true for the booth but today they will be full and the crowds will be everywhere. As for me my plan is in place, what to see, where to eat and what movies to catch at the Native Film Festival. Wish you all were here, it really is amazing.

Spanish Market VII: Retablos

These wonderful Retablos are the work of Amanda Greigo from the Albuquerque area. I featured her last year and I wanted to focus on her work again. I love the colors that she uses in her work. The faces of her saints have a wonderful innocence about them. My favorite is the Guadalupe on the right. That is one piece I really wished I could have bought. Happy Sunday everyone.
